About Slav
Slav Bagriantsev received his PhD in biochemistry from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2006. Following postdoctoral training in Daniel Minor’s laboratory at the University of California San Francisco (2008–2012), where he investigated the biophysics of ion channels, he joined the faculty of the Department of Cellular & Molecular Physiology at Yale University in 2012. Now Professor in the same department, he leads a research program that bridges biophysics, cellular physiology, and evolutionary neurobiology to understand cellular and molecular mechanisms of the sense of touch across species.
