Bonn Science Night 2026

We will be part of the 15th Bonn Science Night with our own interactive booth at the Haus der Bildung. Under this year’s motto “Diagnosis: Future”, universities, research institutes and scientific institutions from Bonn and the region will present current research, technologies and hands-on activities for the public.

At our booth, everything revolves around one central question: how do nervous systems control behavior? Visitors can look through microscopes, explore model organisms, create their own connections from stimulus to response on a thread wall, experience a VR perspective from the flight of a bird of prey and test how muscle signals can control a mechanical hand.

Our stations offer insights into neuroethology and show how we at the MPINB investigate how animals perceive their environment, process information and turn it into behavior.
