In collaboration with the zdi Netzwerk Rhein Sieg-Kreis and the Bildungsbüro Bonn, teachers from 17 local schools were visiting caesar, in order to gain an insight into the work of our public lab.
Our teachers stepped into the shoes of their pupils for an afternoon and, in a hands-on approach in the public lab, learned about the development and the escape response of the zebrafish larvae.
An introduction about our current workshop and future workshops, using the nematode C. elegans, offered a great platform for discussions and collaborative work between caesar and local school teachers.
It was a fantastic opportunity to foster and develop new relationships to local school teachers, which will be of great value in the development of further workshops and outreach events for school children.
