Event:

"Collective Neurogenesis" Project at Our Library

20 Jan 2024 15:00 - 17:00 — MPINB

We are delighted to host the "Collective Neurogenesis" project, initiated by Paula Urrutia, at our library (learn more about Paula on her Instagram). This innovative project bridges art and neuroscience, inviting enthusiasts to delve into the world of neurons through crocheting, knitting, or sewing small brain cells. Get more insights on Instagram.

At the end of the project, in 2027, the resulting neurons will be assembled into a vibrant art installation representing the human brain. Starting January 20, 2024, the project will offer exciting short lectures in neurobiology every Saturday from 3 to 5 PM, along with short lectures on selected topics by guest neuroscientists during the events. These were highly successful in the first two phases of the project.

We invite all interested parties to participate. For more information, please contact Julia Schlee directly. Wool donations for the project are also greatly appreciated.

Join us in this fascinating project and support us with your participation!
